Sara Nelson Hallock
Sara brings a unique perspective to the estate planning and the farm and ranch succession planning process. Sara is the daughter of a third generation Idaho dairy farmer and is living the process as her family moves the farm to the fourth generation. Sara has extensive training as a mediator and can bring a calming influence to tense situations. Sara has served as a mediator in employment disputes for the Utah Anti-Discrimination Division and has also served as a hearing officer for the Davis County School District.
Sara is licensed to practice law in Utah and Idaho. Sara received a degree in Journalism and Political Science from Utah State University and a law degree from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark School of Law, both with honors.
Sara serves on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Utah. She is also a member of the Leadership Council of the LDS Philanthropies Gift Planning Council.
Sara was recently named the “world’s coolest mom” by her children and she enjoys every minute with them. Sara’s hobbies include camping, hiking, and running. Sara also enjoys serving in her church and in the community and reading a good book.
